AT-KABUL: At least 36 militants were killed and 71 others injured in military operations conducted by Afghan security forces in different parts of the country in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement issued here said the security forces conducted military operations against anti-state elements in Kapisa, Paktika, Paktia, Ghazni, Logar, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Nangarhar, Herat, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Kunduz, Nimroz, Takhar and Balkh provinces.

The security forces discovered and seized huge cache of light and heavy weapons, the ministry claimed.
