AT-KABUL: Five policemen embraced martyrdom and two others received injuries after the Taliban insurgents attacked their check-post in southern Ghazni province, an official said on Sunday.

Ghazni Police Chief Brig. Gen. Mohammad Zaman told Pajhwok Afghan News the early Sunday morning attack took place in Qala Qazi area.

He said the Taliban also suffered casualties but exact figures were not immediately known.

The Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the attack with seizing weapons of the security forces.
