9 Taliban rebels killed in Nangarhar

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL:  Afghan security forces have killed nine Taliban militants and injured three others during a gunfight in eastern Nangarhar province of the country.

The clash erupted when a group of the Taliban insurgents tried to hijack a vehicle the other day in Laal Pur district of Nangarhar. The vehicle was carrying civilians.

Provincial police officials confirmed killing of nine rebels. Police sources said that three others were also injured in the gunfight, adding that police and civilians suffered no casualties.
