District chief in east calls for security beef-up

AT-KABUL: Rodat district chief urged security forces to reinforce security of the candidates in Rodat district of eastern Nangarhar province.

According to a statement Rodat district chief Nasim Shenwari on Sunday said that candidates and their campaign security is the most priority.

Speaking at a session titled candidates protection, he urged the related organs and security forces to exert utmost efforts in order to protect candidates and pave a safe ground for candidates campaign and session in the district.

The tribal elders, who attended the session pledge to cooperate with the security forces better stability during election competitions in the district.
