KABUL: A group of three kidnappers have been arrested in a joint crackdown lunched by police and intelligence forces in western Herat province.

The gang was behind several kidnapping cases in Herat and had earlier they abducted a money exchanger from Guzara district of the province, Ministry of Interior Spokesman, Tariq Arian said in a statement.

They (Kidnapping gang) was under chase by the police that eventually arrested, he said, adding Police and National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives had detained them in Deh Tapa area of Guzara district.

Two grenade bombs with some other military equipment had confiscated from them, he underlined.
