72 insurgents arrested in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Monday said that 72 suspected insurgents were arrested in eastern Nangarhar province within past 24 hours.

In a press statement issued here the ministry said that Afghan National Army (ANA) conducted clearance operations in Achin district of Nangarhar province and netted 72 suspected insurgents. The ministry said that weapons were also recovered from the possession of the militants.

The suspects were hand over to the district police for interrogation.

The arrested suspects handed over to Achin district police headquarter for further inquiry.
