COVID-19: 62 infections, four deaths reported in a single day

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 62 new cases of coronavirus and four deaths around the country in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry of Public Health on Monday.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic has reached 56,779 cases.

According to the ministry, the new cases were reported positive out of 2,035 suspected samples.

Another 17 patients have fully recovered during the same period of time.

The total recoveries have exceeded 51,902 and the deaths to 2,512 across the country since the outbreak of the pandemic started a year ago.
