The Government of Pakistan has decided to officially nominate U.S. President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis.
In an official statement, the Government of Pakistan said: “The international community witnessed unprovoked and unlawful Indian aggression, which represented a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, tragically resulting in the loss of innocent lives.”

His efforts significantly contributed to de-escalating the situation, leading to a ceasefire and averting a full-scale war between two nuclear-armed nations—a conflict that could have had catastrophic consequences for millions in the region and beyond.” Statement added.
According to the statement, the Government of Pakistan appreciates President Trump’s sincere proposals to help resolve the longstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan.
The statement further noted that Pakistan hopes Trump’s genuine efforts will continue to contribute to regional and global stability, especially amid ongoing crises in the Middle East, including the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and rising tensions with Iran.
