Following a phone call between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, the government of Pakistan has dispatched 105 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
The shipment includes essential food supplies, medicine, tents, blankets, and plastic floor mats, aimed at assisting those affected by the recent earthquakes in the eastern part of the country.
Pakistan, while expressing its deepest condolences and prayers for the victims of the tragedy, also wished a speedy recovery for the injured and emphasized that it stands with the brotherly people of Afghanistan during this difficult time.
Additionally, provincial aid from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government—comprising 30 truckloads carrying 1,000 tents, mattresses, quilts, and other necessary items, along with two truckloads of medicines—has also been sent to Afghanistan.
Earlier, several countries and relief organizations had already dispatched their assistance to the earthquake-hit regions of Afghanistan.
