AT-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai strongly denounced acid attack on school girls in western Herat province.

In a fresh case of violence against women, unidentified men on motorcycles hurled acid at three girl students in the province.

Hamid Karzai termed the acid attack a cowardly act and said that it was in sharp contrast with Islamic instructions. He added that perpetrators of the act were enemies of the people of Afghanistan.
