KABUL: A number of unknown gunmen shot two brothers dead in Pul-e-Khumri, the capital of northern Baghlan province, security officials said on Saturday.
Provincial Police Spokesman, Ahmad Jawid Basharat said that the gunmen were succeeded to escape from the area. The security forces are yet to identify the assassins.
This comes as targeted-killings of prominent individuals, journalists and civil society activists have been intensified recently in major cities around the country, increasing people’s concerns regarding the deteriorated security situation.
