KABUL: A drug trafficker has been arrested and 60kg hashish was seized from him in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Sunday.

The members of the Afghan National Police succeeded in arresting a drug runner with 60kg hashish in PD 9th in Jalalabad, the provincial capital city of Nangarhar province, Provincial Press Office said in a statement.

The seized hashish was placed skillfully inside the tire of a tractor.

The drug runner planned to transfer the drug to Jalalabad city, the statement added.

The detainee has clearly confessed to his crime and his case has been under for further inquiry, the statement added.
