AT Kabul: Former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, held a meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Roza Otunbayeva. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the broader region. Discussions also focused on the United Nations’ programs and initiatives in Afghanistan, as well as the role of UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan).

In the meeting, Former President Karzai emphasized the vital importance of girls’ education for the future of Afghanistan. He expressed his gratitude to the United Nations for its ongoing support and efforts in promoting education for Afghan girls.
