AT News – Islamabad has rejected the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s claim that Pakistani nationals were fighting against his country for Russia.
Pakistan on Tuesday firmly denied allegations that its nationals were involved in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, calling the claims “baseless and unfounded.”
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pakistani government said it had not been formally contacted by Ukrainian authorities and that no verifiable evidence had been provided to support the accusations.
Pakistani officials added that the country intends to raise the matter with Ukrainian authorities to seek clarification.
The statement did not specify the origin of the allegations or the context in which they were made.
This comes as Pakistani nationals are accused of involvement in the war in Ukraine and fighting for Russia.
