KABUL – In a significant escalation of its military campaign, Israel has launched extensive airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 103 individuals, including numerous women and children, according to health officials. The Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, a critical medical facility, has been forced to shut down due to the bombardments, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated “Operation Gideon’s Chariots,” a large-scale offensive aimed at dismantling Hamas infrastructure. This operation includes ground invasions and airstrikes targeting various locations, including hospitals and residential areas.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, the European Hospital was struck, leading to significant damage and casualties. The IDF claims the hospital was targeted due to an alleged Hamas command center beneath it, though evidence supporting this claim has not been independently verified.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen, with over 53,000 Palestinians reported killed since the onset of the conflict. The blockade imposed by Israel has led to severe shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies, prompting international outcry and calls for immediate aid access.
In response to mounting international pressure, Israel has announced it will allow a “basic amount of food” into Gaza to prevent a starvation crisis. However, aid organizations have criticized this move as insufficient, emphasizing the need for comprehensive humanitarian relief.
As the conflict intensifies, the international community continues to call for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians, urging both parties to return to negotiations and prioritize humanitarian concerns.
