AT-KABUL: Ex-President Hamid Karzai expressed his deep grief and sorrow over death of former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam.

APJ Abdul Kalam has died at the age of 83, after he collapsed during a lecture at the IIM in Shillong on Monday evening.

Hamid Karzai extended his heartfelt condolences to people of India as well as family and friends of the departed soul.

Karzai said that despite being a renowned academic and political figure, Kalam also had great love for humanity.

Hamid Karzai prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and enable his family and friends to bear the loss with courage and fortitude.
