NDS foils terror attack in Kabul

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Wednesday said that it had thwarted a major terror attack in Kabul by seizing 2,000kg explosives.

In a press statement issued here the NDS said that its operatives succeeded in seizing 2,000kg of ammonium nitrate which was placed in 20 sacks. The explosive material was seized in Butkhak area of Kabul province.

The explosives were smuggled from other side of the Durand Line for the purpose of terrorist activities in Kabul, added the statement.
