NDS pummels Taliban stronghold, kills 15

AT-KABUL: Intelligence operatives of the National Directorate of Security pummeled a Taliban hideout in eastern Nangarhar province, killing more than fifteen militants.

NDS Special Unit conducted an operation and targeted a Taliban stronghold in Miagan area of Hesarak district and killed 15 Taliban fighters, said a press statement issued by Nangarhar press office.

Weapons and ammunitions that belonged to insurgents were also destroyed during the crackdown in the district. The slain terrorists were believed to have been behind many subversive terrorist activities in the district, added the statement.
