AT-KABUL: A terrorist network was busted in the eastern Laghman province, said the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
Intelligence operatives arrested a group of six insurgents and bust a terrorist network in Mehtaralam city, provincial capital, it said Tuesday in a statement.
The arrested terrorists were identified as Rahmatullah, Habibullah, Sayed Yaqob, Abdul Basir, Ghofran and Zahidullah.
The captured rebels were tasked by Taliban commander Abdulwahid to conduct terrorist activity in Mehtaralam city, said statement.
The statement added that the operatives prevented a bloody incident in capital of Laghman province.
Three AK-47 rifles and two pistols were discovered and confiscated by security forces from possession of the arrested insurgents, mentioned the statement.
