KABUL: A key member of Taliban group has arrested during a fresh crackdown conducted by police in northern Baghlan province.

He was arrested during anti-terrorism unit of police operation conducted in Chashma-e-Shir area of Dahana-e-Ghori district of the province, said Baghlan Police Spokesman, Jawid Basharat.

He said that the captured culprit was involved in subversive activities for nine years in Dahan-e-Ghori area. Basharat said that the arrested indict has confessed to his membership in Taliban group, adding that he was belonged to the group of Majeed Akhundzada the Taliban’s shadow district chief for Dahana-e-Ghori.
